ATCs - FUNtasia

Card I made for last month's stamp club. I demo'd the painted paper technique, and handed a sample card. I did let the ladies paint their very own bgs and they are supposed to bring a sample back at the next club meeting.

A shaker ATC done on a gold background with a slide mount and pearls. the little mirror is a metal embellishment.

Lori's Luscious Lair

This card was done with a Tim Holtz stamp, embossed in a great powder that I forget the name of....Lori talked me into using it. It looks like rust! Love it. The background is painted paper embossed in a folder and sanded lightly, so it looks like pressed tin. The strip is from the painted paper, with plain copper embossing powder, using the same stamp from the gold circle (which was one of Lori's candy boxes recycled).

This one has gold and mohogany swirls stamped on the cardstock, the same photo stamp embossed the same as the one above. Then I used a piece of red and gold painted paper for the photo frame and a clock embossed in gold and used gold eyelets on the photo and the clock face. it was a little to plain yet, so I used a small piece of gold paper with another clock face to give it a finished look.

This one, Lori was kind enough to give me the pastel plaid center piece and let me use her sizzix to die cut the vine from the remainder of my gold & red painted paper. The butterflies are K&C chipboard.

And the final piece is this gorgeous ATC that Lori made and gave me. Stunning isn't it? I love it and I had so much fun. We were both very relaxed and found we both liked several styles and stamp companies. Wonderful day for me.

Two more Cards with my new stamps from QKR

Two more cards with the QKR Stampede stamps. The snowman is so much fun, I have named him Sam the Snoman. He is trying to hard to get a tan. Don't think he will, but he tries. He is chalked in and doodled around. the sun is a punch. AND there is the rose frame again. I love the red & black combination. Roses are colored in with Sharpies and the saying is a rub-on.

ATCs for online swaps

I worked on these atcs at the retreat I went to last weekend. I had so much fun! These were for special 1 for 1 swaps. The first is the oval scallop punched and embossed in a folder, with a flower punch for the tuft on the sheeps head. A portion of the tail is also a flower punch, the legs a 'modern label' punch and the nose a small oval. I thought he was a cute easter lamb. The frog is a sizzix die cute, the lily pad a scallop oval and the flower a double layered punch with a brad center. All the backgrounds are painted paper, the textured one being wallpaper. The picket fence is a 'borderline' swap and the photo is one I took. All fun to put together.

Card Workshop fundraiser!

I might be crazy---no comments from the peanut galleries. I volunteered to do a cardworkshop fundraiser at my church. We will do 16 cards and here are a couple of the samples. The sunflower is punched/embossed hearts and the background is not purple, but white. Comments appreciated!

Shutterfold Birthday Card for my sister Jeannie

Here is the shutterfold card I made for my sister Jeannie. She is a new Christian and active in her church, plus she has my wacky sense of humor so she will enjoy the card.

It is 5½ x 12, with score marks on the 2" and 4" increments from each end, and then cut from the first score to the last score 1½" from each outside edge. Then I cut the mats, found 3 coordinating papers for each section, cut them and printed my Christian one liners....glued all together and bent the card at the appropriate spots and added stickers.

When your schedule is filled for about two months you look forward to the nights after work when you have nothing on the calendar.....well, except dishes, laundry and catching up on all that stuff. Bless the Lord, I am happy to have a job, AND laundry and dishes to do.

another 2 photos

One photos shows some of my paper and drawers for embellishments, and the dresser has a couple drawers of ribbons. This other one is one side of my double door closet, that I just cleaned. Most of the binders in the middle have unmounted stamps in them.

The first photo is of my "desk" with everything right at hand to create cards, scrapbook pages, and my favorite ATCs!!!

The second photo just shows the whole desk, shelves above and floor below.....crammed with stuff to create artwork with.

Hubby put spotlights in the ceiling above the desk so the lighting is perfect.

I have been using some of the craft paints the people have given me, on cardstock to use for backgrounds on ATCs. What fun! Very theraputic too!

My workspace is in the basement. I have a whole room full of goodies, and a huge 'classroom' that has a big big big table which I have covered with newspaper and gone wild with the paint.

Here are photos of the set up, including how I hang my embossing gun on the wall beside the outlet, so it is easy to use! Maybe tomorrow I will upload some photos of the backgrounds and the card parts cut from them.
